Margot Honecker (birthname Feist) was born on April 17, 1927 in Halle (Saale). In the years from 1963 to 1989 she was secretary of peoples education in the GDR. She is the witness of Erich Honecker, the former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany and Chairman of the state council.
